The Hop on and Off Bus
Hop on and Off buses (you can get on and off wherever you want on the route) is a great way to explore all the main tourist sites. 24-hour unlimited Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour with 360º views of Edinburgh. With an adult paying £18 and children free, it is also one of the most economical tourist options. The nearest stop to the house is Chalmers Street or the National Museum (number 5 on the map).

This tour of the Old Town gets 5/5 on Tripadvisor and is reasonably priced at £20 a head.
This one stands out. I imagine that you will need pretty good English as it is a comic tour done by the person in the kilt in the images.
