The Advantages of Direct Booking
Have you considered the difference between direct booking and booking through a major hotel reservation platform?
In 2026, and especially during the high season, we are able to off a 15% discount by comparison with the major platforms. Whilst this is not all that much on a booking of, say, £100, becomes quite significant for bookings of, say, £1000.
To switch from a booking via a major platform to a direct booking, you will first have to cancel your existing booking. As long as you do this a month before the date of your arrival, this is an easy process that will cost you nothing.
As soon as you have the notification that your booking has been cancelled, you then have to immediately make a booking through Google Maps or directly through out website. The new booking will be 20% less than the original price.
If you are on the Genius programme with Booking.com, you will already have received a reduction of £10%. The new booking will, as a result, be £10% less than the price that you paid to Booking.
